Crow Versus Crow Visual Work Included in Storytime Festival, Saturday 2nd June 2013, Manchester.

I've very kindly been asked to provide some visual work to be included in this multi-disciplinary event in Manchester this coming Saturday (2nd June 2013). I have a large-scale projected digital photocollage included, but I won't put an image of it online until after the event has closed. It's my first visual exhibition of any kind in over 3 years, which, when it's typed out like that, is baffling to me! Hopefully there'll be more to come very soon.

Gum Takes Tooth

'Opposing drummers ignite a dense, focused rhythm engine to propel thunderous evolving acid synth and refracted vocal manipulations as motorik astrally projected drive-trains thrust through haunted subterranean soundscapes into epic swathes of crushing synth riffing heavy enough to compete with any de-tuned guitar monster.'

Jealousy Mountain Duo

Two-man German band Jealousy Mountain Duo's self-titled longplayer was released by experimental German label Blunoise, a perfect portmanteau of Jealousy Mountain Duo's disparate '60s jazz and noisy, math-rock influences. Jealousy Mountain Duo takes a deconstructivist approach to its experimental blend of post-modern jazz and mathy indie rock, its guitars looping looping and conflicting melodies, its drums working in and out of rhythms, eschewing any semblance of straightforward timekeeping for an abstract counterbalance to the swirl of notes and tones. The result is tightly controlled chaos, a sonic maelstrom where form doesn't necessarily follow function. This, truly, is radical stuff. In both senses of the word. — P. Wall
